Lee Kirk is well known in the television commercial industry with numerous network spots to her credit, including; “Charmin Tissues”, Coca-Cola Liter”, “Comtrex Cold Tablets”, Dawn Dishwashing Liquid”, “Pepsodent Toothpaste”, “Ensure”, “Avon”, “Joy Liquid”, “A&D Lotion”, “Xerox”, “IBM”, Tide, Miller Beer, etc. As of this writing she takes credits for two spots concurrently showing for the Colonial Penn Insurance and a network AARP spot. In total, for the past twenty five years Lee has been featured in over one hundred television commercials.
Utilizing her singing and acting talents, Lee was featured in the Broadway show “Don’t Bother Me, I Can’t Cope” which traveled from New York, Toronto and San Francisco.
Born into a large family, one of the last of fourteen siblings, from early childhood she realized a talent of expressing her thoughts, emotions through writing. One of her first pens at the age of nine was an essay assignment of student choice, when she chose the subject of aging. Her opinions included “I don’t believe anyone begins to be old until the age of ninety”. The essay gained her a score of 100 A plus/excellent, as her teacher seemed amazed by the thoughts of one so young. Throughout her life Lee still holds the exact philosophy on aging; “age is really only a number-your spirit and outlook determines your age. “Helping others” in need is a source of youth.
Mother of Kathy and Tony, grandmother of Sean and Tyler, Lee has penned three books. In addition to “52 Reasons Why Women Just Can’t Afford to Commit Suicide!”, "Cornbread, “Champagne & Chocolates" and "Miracles by the Moment".
Giving back to her community, for the past five years Lee served as recording secretary on both the Community Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors where she resides. |
